Thursday in class we viewed the attached Power Point. As a class and in small groups students discussed the picture and different maps.
For Monday August 22nd students should summarize two separate pages of Chapter 7 from Howard Zinn's book, A People's History of the United States. Each summary should be no more than 5 sentences long. Students should be prepared to share their summary with their peers.
This week we are starting our first unit covering Manifest Destiny and Indian Removal. We will spend some class time this week reading from Howard Zinn's book and chapter 7. The reading prompts will be handed out in class this week. The reading prompts can be found below and are due September 9th.
Answer the following prompts from Howard Zinn using multiple complete sentences that demonstrate depth and understanding of the reading assigned and be sure to support each answer with evidence and analysis. Be sure to cite any evidence from the text.
