Update from Rachel Gordon:
Today, the Green School Team went down to City Hall to present our ideas to Curbit and try to score some recycling bins for our school. We talked to two very helpful ladies who gave us feedback on our vision and mission statements as well as advice on where to go from here. They gave us recommendations on how to better our project as a whole and get the word out to the students in our school itself (brochures, book marks, power points, etc.). They were pleased with our progress and to work with us. Recycle bins coming soon.
Update by Rachel Gordon
Today in our Green School Challenge Team, we continued our work with the previously stated projects. We centered our time around getting baseline data so we can track our progress until April. The survey for carpooling is being finalized and a method for changing the faucets and light bulbs in our school are being formatted. The art projects throughout our school are being created and perfected to encourage recycling within our school community. As far as the recycling aspect itself, we intend to meet with Curbit as City Hall next Tuesday to get recycling bins to put around Sage.
